Saturday was Freddie Falcon’s training camp party at Atlanta Falcons XFinity Training Camp and there were plenty of sights to see! Kids got their faces painted, they threw passes through tires, got autographs from their favorite players and took photos with members of the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders!
Meanwhile on the field, wide receiver Julio Jones was held out of team drills Saturday.
“Definitely nothing to worry about,” Jones said. “Precautionary reasons. But I’m good to go. I’m 100 percent. We’re just taking it slow, that’s all.
“I’m just so explosive, so I always get something that’s tight or something. It’s good. I keep getting treatment, stretch it out. I’m eating right. I’m hydrating. I’m good. It’s nothing serious or anything like that that’s going to prevent me from playing.”
Cornerback Jalen Collins was picked on a lot by Falcon quarterbacks, yet he made plays in the secondary. He showed a lot of moxie while breaking up passes. He will miss the first four games of the 2016 season, however, he has had a great camp to this point.
“I think it will be pretty darn quick because he really pushed it (in) individual (drills) today,” Quinn said on Saturday. “And that’s what the general kind of return to play is: ‘Can you make full-speed cuts? OK, then I’m good doing that.’ And then we take the next step. Then I generally go half the reps and then back into full.”
