Fans NBA: The Atlanta Hawks Need A Closer

Friday night the Atlanta Hawks played the Cleveland Cavaliers in the most exiting, riveting game I’ve seen in a long time. I didn’t have the pleasure of viewing the game from an arena seat but I watched the drama unfold from my seat at a local restaurant. I was out with a friend and not no intention of being sucked into the game but I was facing the TV. We were down by TWENTY points in the 2nd quarter and interest was peaked. The Cavaliers were dominating on the court and it felt like the Hawks had given up. They were missing shot after shot, fouls abound and it seemed like nothing was working; no cohesiveness.

Now I’m totally vested in the game and there is no way the Hawks can lose this badly. Right?! The Hawks come back to tie the game in the 4th quarter 98-98. With 4 seconds left on the clock, Jeff Teague doesn’t go to the hole. He just dribbles the ball around. Why doesn’t he go to the hole? Why make this game go into overtime? Welp, overtime it is and the stress just mounts. I really thought we were going to pull through but I knew it was a wrap when Kyrie was at the foul line AGAIN with 12 seconds left in the game. I left the restaurant and missed the end. According to the tweets, Teague should’ve closed out the game but he passed it to Al. Al missed. Game over. We lost 110-108. Do you agree that we need a closer?

We’re still in the playoffs and that’s really all that matters at this point. See you guys soon! She’s always #TrueToAtlanta
