Today the NFL announced that the Pro Bowl will be leaving Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii, where it has been played in all but two years since 1980. The Pro Bowl will now be played in Orlando, Florida and the all-star will return to the AFC vs. NFC player matchup. The 2017 Pro Bowl game will be played at Camping World Stadium on Sunday, January 29 and televised live at 8 PM ET on ESPN and ESPN Deportes.
“We are excited to re-imagine the Pro Bowl experience for both fans and players and to celebrate the game of football at all levels,” says NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “Collaborating with Disney and ESPN brings us closer to the best in youth and family-focused entertainment. We look forward to working with the city of Orlando and Florida Citrus Sports to create a week-long celebration for football and our fans.”
The NFL also announced the Miami Dolphins & Atlanta Falcons would play their preseason game at Camping World Stadium on Thursday, August 25th. Looks like it will be a busy football season for the city of Orlando. We will share Pro Bowl Fan events details soon.
