Georgia Southern Basketball #1 in the Sun Belt

Last game I shared was a win against in-state rival Georgia State, since then Georgia Southern has had four games and have won them all. They are on top of the Sun Belt Conference but still with a long road to go before the end of the season. In those four game they have beaten Troy and South Alabama at home, then when on the road to beat Louisiana-Lafayette and Louisiana Monroe. All four games have been won by five points or less. Georgia Southern is now 12-6 on the season with a 5-0 record in the Sun Belt. The Eagles are 5-0 in league play for the first time since 1991-1992.

The Eagles have the next two games at home. The first game is Saturday, January 21st against Appalachian State who is 6-10 overall and 1-4 in the conference. The Eagles hit a last second game winner against App. State last year on the road so I’m sure App. State is looking for revenge. The Eagles fan are going to #BlueOut Hanner Fieldhouse, every fan gets a free foam finger when they enter the building. Don’t forget to bring your teddy bears. At halftime the teddy bears will be tossed onto the court, all bears will be donated to Safe Haven. The Eagles are looking to help the community and get their sixth conference win of the season. Come out and enjoy the game at 5:00 PM. The Lady Eagles start at 2:00 PM.

Hail Southern and No Place Else!
