Georgia State kicks off the 2016 season by hosting Ball State on Friday, Sept. 2 at the Georgia Dome.
The Panthers’ home slate is highlighted by a Thursday night, nationally-televised game vs. defending Sun Belt champion Arkansas State on Nov. 3 and a Nov. 19 visit from rival Georgia Southern.
Homecoming is slated for the Oct. 22 game vs. UT Martin. Games against Texas State on Oct. 8 (Parents and Families Weekend, Spirit Day, Pink Game) and UL Monroe on Nov. 12 (Band Day, Heroes Day) round out the home schedule.
Georgia State will be looking to play in its second straight bowl game in 2016 after earning a trip to the 2015 AutoNation Cure Bowl for the first bowl berth in the program’s six-year history. Head coach Trent Miles’ squad welcomes back 16 starters, led by All-Sun Belt returnees Penny Hart, Robert Davis, Keith Rucker, Chandon Sullivan, Alonzo McGee, Shawanye Lawrence and Bobby Baker.
