Georgia State University’s 5-Game, 10-Day Road Trip

The Georgia State Panthers will start their 5-game, 10-day road trip on Friday night against Colorado State. Last season the Panthers went 12-15 on the road. Iowa State handed the Panthers their first loss for the year on the road Monday night in Iowa.

This week RJ Hunter was named to the John R. Wooden Watch List as 1 of 50 players to watch. RJ is averaging 22.5 points per game this season and is in talks to be projected to be drafted in the NBA Draft.

Coach Ron Hunter spoke with the media about their recent loss at Iowa State, “Our team learned a lot from our game against Iowa State on Monday. the lessons learned are the types of thing that will make us better moving forward. We stumbled early in the season last year and learned from it and I have no doubt this game will be also served as the type of learning experience.”

Coach Hunter on their upcoming game against Colorado State, “Colorado State has a very good team. They had a little bit of a down year last year, but are a perennial NCAA tournament team.”

After their game against Colorado State, Georgia State will play in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic in Oakland, Michigan. The Panthers final game of the classic will be televised on ESPN3.
