Today, I went to Atlantic Station in midtown Atlanta to taste the food that will be offered at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium next season. The Atlanta Falcons and Mercedes-Benz Stadium marketing and Public Relations teams were on hand as shoppers and passers-by sampled the foods. Fans will be pleased with the affordable prices! Mercedes-Benz Stadium calls it, “Fan First Menu Pricing.” The most expensive items on the menu are a cheeseburger and a basket of chicken tenders for $5 and $6 respectively! By the way, they come with waffle fries!
I had the chicken tenders with waffle fries and Sprite for $8. The waffle fries are seasoned just right and are consistently crispy. The chicken tenders are crispy (but not crunchy) on the outside, tender inside. It’s what you’d expect from stadium food, without the atrocious pricing! It tastes even better!
Non-alcoholic beverages, pretzels and popcorn are $2. Peanuts, waffle fries and nachos are $3. All prices are in whole dollars to increase efficiency and reduce confusion.
According to Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United Chairman and Owner Arthur M. Blank:
“We focused from the beginning on building a unique fan experience at Mercedes-Benz Stadium with a goal of helping those who visit to leave the stadium with great memories shared with family and friends, not aggravation and frustration about their experience. We have listened to the concerns of the fans on the food and beverage experience and have responded to those concerns in a way that honors our commitment to providing the best possible fan experience at our events.”
The prices will also extend to other stadium events.
