NBA All-Star 2015

The NBA has announced the roster for the 2015 All-Star game in New York hosted in Madison Square Garden and the Barclays Center Feb 13-15th. Here are the starters that were announced last week:

West Starters:

Stephen Curry

Kobe Bryant

Anthony Davis

Marc Gasol

Blake Griffin

James Harden

Russell Westbrook

Kevin Durant

LaMarcus Aldridge

Tim Duncan

Klay Thompson

Chris Paul

East Starter:

John Wall

Kyle Lowry

LeBron James

Pau Gasol

Carmelo Anthony

Jimmy Butler

Jeff Teague

Paul Millsap

Al Horford

Chris Bosh

Kyrie Irving

Dwyane Wade

The starters are selected by you, the fans, and the reserves are selected by the coaches. One of the snubs that took me by surprise was Damian Lillard of the Portland Trailblazers. Sure he may not be popular with the fan but I was confident that the coaches would see his growth to be at least a reserve for the West team. Here is Lillard’s statement earlyer in the season if he did not make the team: image

Lillard posted this message to Instagram after the reserves were announced:

Another notable snub would have been Sacramento King DeMarcus Cousins but it has been announced that Cousins will replaced the injured Kobe Bryant for the West. Players will always feel they have been left out if not voted in but these two players have improved their games to were their talents should be awarded by representing their team in the All-Star game.
