Now, let’s have some fun!

San Diego at Buffalo (-2 1/2), 1:00pm, CBS, DirecTV 705
Running Back Ryan Matthews has been ruled out of the game for the Chargers with a knee injury. Surprisingly, the Bills have gotten off to an 2-0 start. EJ Manuel has been accurate with the ball completing 67% of his passes. CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson both are averaging 4.5 yards per carry. San Diego typically struggles going cross-country playing at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific games. I like Buffalo winning 27-23 winning it close and covering.

Dallas (-1 1/2) vs St. Louis, 1pm FOX, DirecTV 714
I like the Cowboys to win 23-21.

Washington vs Philadelphia (-6), 1pm, FOX, DirecTV 713
Robert Griffin III isn’t playing with a dislocated ankle; backup QB Kirk Cousins will get the start, so will wide-receiver DeSean Jackson who had an issue with his shoulder last week against Jacksonville. The Redskins are a heavy underdog against a high-flying Eagles team that recently beat the Colts on the road. However, on a short week, I like the Eagles winning 31-27. Philly wins but will not cover!

Houston at New York Giants (-1), 1pm, CBS, DirecTV 710
I like Houston to keep to their winning ways 24-14. The Giants are a bumbling mess.

Minnesota at New Orleans (-10), 1pm, FOX, DirecTV 712
Adrian Peterson isn’t playing in this game due to his legal issues. That’s why the MGM Grand installed the Saints as a 10 point favorite. I’m not sold on the Saints secondary, hopefully they’ll prove me wrong! Home opener for the WhoDats will end in a 33-24 win for the Black and Gold.

Tennessee at Cincinnati (-7), 1pm, CBS, DirecTV 706
Bengals receiver AJ Green is probable with a toe. I don’t know if he’s got a turf toe because that particular toe injury proves to be problematic as the season progresses. I want to take the Bengals beating the spread as they’ve been hot on defense and easily dispatched the Falcons last week. I’ll take the carrot the MGM Grand has dangled in front of me. I’m riding that train to the banks of the Ohio River, baby! Bengals win big: 27-10!

Baltimore (-2) at Cleveland, 1pm, CBS, DirecTV 707
I like the Ravens winning on the road 24-23.

Green Bay vs Detroit (-2 1/2), 1pm, FOX, DirecTV 711
The over/under is a whopping 52 1/2! Give me the Packers 34-30.

Indianapolis (-7) at Jacksonville, 1pm, CBS, DirecTV 708
I like the Colts to win 21-17.

Oakland at New England (-14), 1pm, CBS, DirecTV 709
Patriots 31, Raiders 10

San Francisco (-3) vs Arizona, 4:05pm, FOX, DirecTV 715
Carson Palmer is questionable with a right shoulder injury, however some outlets have declared his status has out with that injury. Defensive end John Abraham and running back Jonathan Dwyer are out due to legal issues. I like the 49ers in this spot 24-21.

Kansas City vs Miami (-3 1/2); 4:25pm, CBS, DirecTV 716
Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is questionable with a knee injury. Dwayne Bowe participated fully in practice on Friday and he’s expected to start. Dolphins running back Knowshon Moreno has been listed as out with an elbow injury. These two teams have question marks on offense, however I like Kansas City in this spot with Knile Davis getting the bulk of the work today.  Miami beats the Chiefs 21-19 but will not cover the spread.

Denver vs Seattle (-5), 4:25pm, CBS, DirecTV 717
Marshawn Lynch and Kam Chancellor should play. Seattle is coming off of a loss at San Diego last week. The Broncos have held on late to win at home against the Colts and Chiefs. They are going into the 12th man and that bandbox of a stadium in the Pacific Northwest. It’s the game of the day! It’s the Super Bowl Rematch! This game will be seen in over 80% of the United States and around the world! I fully expect the Seahawks to “Layeth The Smacketh Down” on the Broncos! Seattle 35, Denver 24! Don’t bet the spread, bet the over!

Pittsburgh vs Carolina (-3), 8:30pm, NBC
One thing I know more than anything in life is to live life by the Golden Rule: “One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself.” The other rule is when Vegas doubts the Pittsburgh Steelers, you must go the other way! I like the Steelers on the road, 27-21!

Chicago vs NY Jets (-3), 8:30pm, ESPN

Center Roberto Garza is out for the Bears an ankle. That will be an issue because the Jets possess one of the best defensive lines in the NFL. Receivers Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall are probable and should play. Jets receiver Eric Decker is questionable with a hamstring and cornerback Dee Milliner is doubtful with an ankle. I think the Jets can get home against Cutler and cause problems in the passing game. I like Gang Green in this game 24-20.
