The Early Games
Denver (-10) vs New York Jets; 1pm, CBS, DirecTV 710
Broncos 31 – Jets 21. Broncos win and will meet the number.
Pittsburgh vs Cleveland (-1); 1pm, CBS, DirecTV 709
Steelers 21 – Browns 20. Pittsburgh wins outright but bet the under of 47.
Jacksonville vs Tennessee (-4); 1pm, CBS, DirecTV 712
I like the Titans in this spot after a humiliating loss last week, 24-13.
Green Bay (-2 1/2) vs Miami; 1pm, FOX, DirecTV 707
Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin knows Aaron Rodgers very well from his prior experience in Green Bay. I think it will be a grind-it-out game and the Packers don’t like to kick field goals. I like Miami to win 27-24. Miami wins outright and the over may be in play here.
Detroit vs Minnesota (-2); 1pm, FOX, DirecTV 708
Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush are doubtful this week. Detroit without Megatron is a shell of itself. Teddy Bridgewater is probable for the Vikings. I don’t trust the Lions without Megatron, they should beat the Vikings and I’ll go with my head in this spot: Lions 23 – Vikings 21.
Carolina vs Cincinnati (-7); 1pm, FOX, DirecTV 706
Vegas believes the Bengals still strong even though AJ Green may not play this week. Carolina is a mess. Give me the Bengals big: 31-20. Bengals win, going away.
New England (-1 1/2) vs Buffalo; 1pm, FOX, DirecTV 705
This matchup (in Buffalo) has always been a tough one to handicap. Buffalo is always tough at home, they’ve always given the Pats trouble. Darrelle Revis will match up against stud reciever Sammy Watkins. That’s my matchup to watch but I believe New England will win going away 24-14.
Baltimore (-3 1/2) vs Tampa Bay; 1pm, CBS, DirecTV 711
Ravens 27 – Buccaneers 24
The Late Games
San Diego (-7 1/2) vs Oakland; 4:05pm, CBS, DirecTV 713
Chargers 38 – Raiders 17
Chicago vs Atlanta (-3); 4:25pm, FOX, DirecTV 714
The Falcons seemingly cannot win games when they are played in direct sunlight. Devin Hester will be the number three receiver today because Harry Douglas is out injured. I like to go with the Falcons 24-21. They will win and meet the number.
Washington vs Arizona (-5 1/2); 4:25pm, FOX, DirecTV 716
Cardinals 33 – Redskins 17
Dallas vs Seattle (-8); 4:25pm, FOX, DirecTV 715
8 points is a very big number. Although, Dallas loves to run the ball with DeMarco Murray, I believe if Seattle gets up early, they can run away and hide from the Cowboys. I don’t see it happening though. I like the Seahawks 27-24. Seattle wins, but won’t cover.
New York Giants vs Philadelphia (-3); 8:30pm, NBC
Eagles 31 – Giants 26
San Francisco (-3) vs St. Louis, 8:30pm, ESPN
49ers 23 – St. Louis 20
