Rawle Alkins Returning For Sophomore Season

Arizona Wildcats guard Rawle Alkins has apparently had a change of heart regarding his draft status. Alkins has announced that he will be returning to school for his sophomore season. He announced his decision on twitter when he posted, “… I have decided to continue my college basketball career back in Tuscon at The University of Arizona… I can’t wait to help the Wildcats win a national championship next year with a great team, great coach, and the most amazing fans in the world behind us.”

Alkins return was not expected as he was projected to be a Second Round pick after a strong freshman campaign where he averaged 10.5 points per game. Recently Alkins was invited to the NBA combine where he performed well. He had already worked out for the Raptors and Nets before making his decision. His return will strengthen an already strong Wildcat team while giving their championship aspirations a much needed boost
