Two HBCU conference champions will meet up at the Georgia Dome on December 19th at 12pm. If you can’t make it to Atlanta to see this game then make sure you are watching it on ABC. The first ever Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl will be a historic moment in College Football that you do not want to miss.
Alcorn State’s first game of this college football season was not a preview of how they wanted to end their season. Alcorn State traveled to Atlanta, Georgia to play Georgia Tech at Bobby Dodd Stadium and they lost 69-6. It was the worst game I had ever seen from a HBCU in a Pay-For-Play game. This loss did not set the tone for their season. Alcorn State was able to finish their season 9-3 and they beat Grambling State to clinch the SWAC conference title. Now it is time for Alcorn State to travel back to Atlanta and “FINISH THE DEAL” by beating North Carolina A&T.
North Carolina A&T second game of the season was similar to Alcorn’s first game. They lost to University of North Carolina 53-14, but that didn’t stop them from finishing their season strong. During their game against South Carolina State, the Aggies were able to pull off a comeback win after SCS faked a punt & the Aggies intercepted to put them in scoring position. The Aggies will come to town to show other MEAC teams that they deserve to play in the Celebration bowl. According to HBCU GameDay, A&T shared the title with NCCU and Bethune-Cookman, but came out on top in the ratings system, thereby earning the nod.
Who do you think will WIN the Celebration Bowl??
