The Wichita State shockers have SHOCKED the sports nation once again. The Shockers (31-0), the first time a college men’s team to go undefeated during the regular season in ten years, the Shockers enter the Missouri Valley Tournament with huge bragging rights for their school and fans.  Win or lose in the tournament, should the Shockers be named the overall No. 1 seed? Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall thinks so. In an Interview with ESPN, Gregg Marshall says, “I’m going to be very excited wherever they place us. I think if we play well, we have a chance to play with and beat anybody in the country.”

The Shockers aren’t the most popular team to advance in the NCAA tournament. Fans might wonder why after their surprising appearance last year in the NCAA Final Four. The teams the Shockers have beaten aren’t ranked in the AP top 25 poll. Their schedule is considered to be doubtful because they haven’t played any major teams. The Missouri Valley Tournament will show the college basketball nation whether or not the Shockers can shock the doubters once again. Wichita State will play the winner of the Drake/Evansville game on March 7th
