Villanova WINS Championship Game at the Buzzer

The Villanova Wildcats defeated the North Carolina Tar Heels 77-74 with Kris Jenkins calmly draining a three at the buzzer!

Major keys from this game: North Carolina didn’t have many 2nd chance points. They only had two second chance points. Also, Villanova did not allow UNC to get in the paint as liberally as they did in their previous five games.

Moreover, the Tar Heels missed too many shots when they got in the paint.

North Carolina shot 60% from downtown and 35% from two-point range.

This is Villanova’s first national title since 1985 when Rollie Massimino took the Wildcats to the mountaintop by defeating Georgetown.
